Hot Summer Market
It used to be said that in real estate, it’s best to wait for flowers to start blooming before putting your house on the market.
The traditional reasoning is that Spring is a season of change, and in Summer families can get time off to facilitate a move and the weather is ideal for looking at properties.
But that’s not what has happened this year: the uptick in home sales is defying normal seasonality trends.
With fewer homes on the market and high demand, it’s driven prices up and that’s good for sellers. This means you don’t need to wait for the “best” time to sell your house. If you’re thinking about selling your home, go ahead and list it.
These seasonal trends are also affected by the fact many people working from home due to the pandemic, are not going to return to the traditional office and are seeking larger homes with office spaces. Low mortgage rates are also enticing people to take advantage and sell their current home and buy something new.
Now may also be a great time to sell and optimize your real estate investment and make that change, whether it is downsizing, or changing locations while being able to have more cash on hand from your sale.
Selling your home in this market can seem overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be. My job is to help you sell your home and ensure that you have somewhere new to go.
