Parksville Trails

These days it can feel challenging to find safe and socially distant activities to do. However, when you live in a natural paradise such as Parksville, it’s really not that hard!

There are many wonderful trails to walk, run, or hike plus plenty of beautiful sights to see!

Located right in Parksville is the Wetlands trail which is just under 3 km and a moderately trafficked loop trail. Here you can enjoy the habitat for breeding and migratory birds while walking along the smooth trails.

Another amazing natural space to enjoy is at Englishman River Regional Park. Though the park serves as a campground, you can still take the short walking path through the large, beautiful trees to see the river in all its glory. Be sure to also head to the suspension bridge and look down at the river rushing below you!

For a scenic view from above, you will want to visit Notch Hill Park! This trail has a slight incline, but it is worth it! Located just outside of Parksville in Nanoose Bay, this trip is about 2.9 kilometres. The trail is great for hiking and walking plus it is accessible year-round. You can even bring your 4-legged friends but make sure to keep them on a leash!

With all of these amazing places to enjoy so close to home, it’s no wonder so many people make Parksville their home. It is the perfect place for those who love the comforts of the city, but also like to have the ability to enjoy nature in minutes.
